How I didn't find out about this while staying in a house with 28 people that all knew is still shocking. I thought we were going out to eat pizza in town when we turned the corner, saw everyone on the boat, and craig said, surprise! Laurie said that all week long, everytime the boat passed by the lakehouse, Nate would say, "there goes Mary's surprise boat!" But I somehow never heard this.
I was so impressed with craig pulling this off. There was sandwiches and cake (from Yum Yum shop) for over 100 people that came. All of which he invited by tracking down a lot of emails. My boys loved the unlimited Shirley temples and dancing, and I loved being on the boat with everyone and the beautiful sunset.
when we got off the boat at the town docks, a brass band was playing at the grandstand, so we got to listen and dance to a little recital. a pretty perfect evening.
