We have had 2! floods over the last 3 months. i do not recommend it. i feel like i have spent a ton of time on home improvement stuff, when in reality, all my time and effort was going towards just getting things back how they were. (though i did end up with 2 completely different looking bathrooms that i love).
I have of course been doing little projects all the time.....
here are a few.
that was SO much cheaper than having it framed with a double mat- one orange, one white.
Office chair-before and after
craig brought me home this chair one day that was getting thrown out from his office. It was in perfect shape, just ugly and it would have taken too much time/effort to reupholster.
enter my favorite medium.
PAINT.
It is way more citron and way less mustard in real life or not on an iphone photo. besides feeling slightly scatchy, it's perfect.then today was sewing day. Brit came over and while the boys plumaged my pantry and toy room, we sewed and sewed. We both may a bunch of smocked dresses...baby sized and i made this throw pillow for Parker's room. I was pretty proud of it because even though i have sewed TONS of throw pillows, this was the first time I have ever put welting on. and i put in an invisible zipper. both easier than i imagined.
and Miss California was in the nieghborhood so she stopped by to pick up one of the smock dreeses that i made her. this really is my favorite dress to sew for little girls. so fast and so cute.
