been thinking about...
-why have I been sick for 7 days?? feels like a horrible cold and flu in one and I hate it. I can not beat it. there's a chance I may die.
-i have my halloween boxes out, but I haven't felt like decorating. I can't tell if it's because I'm sick or because I'm having a hard time transitioning into fall and saying good-bye to summer. I picked roses and purple flowers form all over my yard the other day and I love them. I love that I picked every single type of flower that went into my yard and I know all their names and that some of them, I planted from seeds. The thought of taking them off my counter and replacing them with a pumpkin makes me sad. I'll just wait for now I guess.
-I think i want to turn the house into a haunted house and run it on saturday night and monday night the weekend of halloween (halloween's on a monday) instead of having what would be my 4th annual pumpkin carving party. I'm ready for a change (now that I have a yard for once that would actually be the perfect spot to have it. Ha.)

- halloween costumes...finally settled, I think. Miles (who went through an array of ideas-including a "mean snowman" has settled on Batman. He asked Craig if he would "please be my best friend, Robin?"...so cute. We are thinking the 60's version...
Parker has settled on Jack Skellington from Nightmare before Christmas. we just met him at disneyland last week and I pushed him that direction because I'm dying to make a black and white striped tux out of the 30 yds! of it I got from Ikea in the spring. Should be pretty cool. No costume idea for me yet. Probably something scary so I can use it for the haunted house.
-and last, I really need to put up pics from my surprise party. i keep thinking about that.
