Both the watermelon and sweet potato are from my parents garden. They have tons of HUGE sweet potatoes that taste so good. They planted the eyes last January and now they are finally ready. And I couldn't believe how many big watermelons they had.
As for me, I have one little baby watermelon. I planted too late, so we'll see what happens. I did get all my fall/winter stuff in on time.... I planted red cabbage, broccoli and Brussels sprouts a month ago. I replaced a few of my herbs that had run their course, so my herb garden is still going strong.
Today I pulled 2 of my 4 tomato plants- I'm still getting tons of tomatoes from the other 2- and got my sugar snap peas planted. Can't wait for those. I have my bulbs -tulips+Hyacinthus- in the fridge getting chilled so I can plant them next week. (I have to chill them since San Diego doesnt get cold enough for the bulb process).
All of this happened between big crowds of people. Yesterday I had 20 girls (8&9 yrs old) here for activity days painting 40 white hats with puff paint. I dare you to try that. Then tonight I'm hosting a brideal shower for a friend in the ward...I think we will have 60+ peeps.
Maybe I should go back to Phoenix where life was so relaxed.
