the simple things #1

Of all the things I've done with my house, my favorite are the small things. The stuff that I made a little extra effort to make something a little prettier or more functional....the 2 things I strive for with home design. Most of them are things that nobody would ever notice, except for me, but they make me smile as I run through the house....chasing, cleaning and making messes as I do projects.

I'm going to start doing little posts about these simple things.

#1- the jars above hold oxiclean, tide and baking soda. The baking soda is lid-less in an effort to serve the dual purpose of freshening the laundryy room and my laundry. All the jars are from Home Goods, Brit got me the sign (i think from Anthro) and the tin measuring was given to me by my mom and it was my grandmas. ( I have since bought 4 more just like it from the flea market.) The wall paper that only covers a small portion of the laundry room is a remnant fro "Walls...a Colour Store" in SLC.

none of this was neccassary to have a working laundry room, BUT I love the way all this change my view of doing laundry.
