The weekend

this weekend we were recovering from colds. Not sick enough to stay in bed, but not well enough to have the energy to do anything productive.

On Friday, Parker and I baked cookies -during naptime- and I sewed them up into little packages....just sewed 3 sides of butcher paper together, slid in cookies on a piece of cardstock wrapped in parchment paper, then sewed the last side shut. When miles woke up we delivered them around the neighborhood then walked in the preserve picking wild flowers for Craig.

Friday night we had friends over and made homemade pizzas and played games.

Saturday we made a big breakfast, watched cartoons, then took the boys hiking around Lake Hodges and had a picnic lunch. Parker had a friends birthday party in the afternoon, then Saturday night I had a hot date. Craig and I went to Hash House a GoGo for dinner down in Hillcrest then we headed to Santee for a drive-in movie. I can't remember the last time I went to one-if ever- and now i don't want to ever see a movie in a regular theater again.  It was so fun. We stopped at wal-mart for candy and got 2 pillows (for $2 each) and a blanket. We laid in the back of the car with the hatch up and I've never been so comfortable watching a movie.

Sunday was church, choir, home teaching, naps, and family dinner with Matt and Laurie.

Really relaxed 3 days, now this week it's time to kick into gear and get some house projects done.

anyone for cleaning out the garage??
