Chalkboard

This little project completely changed the look of the awful fireplace in the game room. I just got a thin piece of smooth particle board from home depot-they cut it to size for me- then painting it with chalkboard paint.

(I actually painted a layer of magnetic paint on first, but it doesn't work at all as a magnet board.)

I hung it with silicone-my go-to adhesive lately. It's very similar to hot glue-which I still use on an almost daily basis- but it is little stronger I think. And it doesn't set as fast, which can be bad or good.

And like hot glue, it's not completely permanent. If I ever turn that room into a front room, I should be able to pry it off.
