The day after the People mag shoot, there was a shoot for parade magazine (comes out dec. 4th)-I'm guessing they didn't use the ones of miles covering Mitt's mouth.
Right after the shoot wrapped, the boys were playing in the snow in the yard, and miles was throwing snow in the pool, then trying to push it under water with his glove to make it sink. We all watched from the kitchen, knowing it was only a matter of time before he fell in the icy water. He did. and one of the camera guys got to him first. Pretty funny. He was a little embrassed when I stripped he to naked, wrapped him in a towel, then set him on the counter with all the strangers around. Then he got his hot cocoa and was fine. (i'm just realizing that this story makes me look kinda like a bad mom. mostly just lazy i would like to note.)

The only thing on Craig's list of things to while in Boston (aside from getting pizza and 3 different places-which we did) was to take the boys and dogs on a walk in Habitat, this beautiful nature reserve across the street from the home were he grew up and were he used to walk his dog-and cut through on the way to school everyday. The leaves and the leftover snow made it heaven. My boys loved it. I love the last picture that Craig took with the timer...too bad no one was there to get reggie to turn around and get his better side. :)
The biggest thing on my to-do list was to go apple picking-something I have really missed since moving west. My favorite part of the petting zoo was the the houses for the 3 pigs...straw, sticks, and brick. so cute.
I also loved the hot apple cider doughnuts. I haven't been able to find them anywhere on the west coast, but I did just find a good recipe on smitten Kitchen. I'll let you know how it goes.
These 2 loved climbing the ladders that were tied into each tree and making me take of bite of 100 apples because this one "is so cold and juicy mom".
we got all those apples home in our carry-on and made apple pie the next day. I loved our whole trip, and i'm glad we snuck it in before the real winter hits back east. :)
