Fast times in LA

Go Since we didn't make any travels plans for spring break - a funny feeling for me- I tried to plan some fun stuff around here. Monday and Tuesday we stayed at the beach house in La Jolla and had two glorious hot days at the beach. Then craig took the boys camping wed and Thursday in Joshua Tree where they set up camp in the middle of huge boulders. Thursday night we had a big barbq and swim party with family and friends. Then early Friday morning, I loaded up the boys and a bunch of snacks and drive up to LA.
Welcome to LA
First stop the beach at Santa Monica pier
After playing in the water for an hour, we played on the awesome playground on the beach where Parker went across the whole set of rings
It was very impressive

Then we rented bikes and rode for 5 miles on the beach bike path. We stopped in all the funky shops in Venice beach and stopped to watch some professional skateboarders.
Next up- Roller coasters and Ferris wheel on the board walk. Above is the look of pure fear hidden by fake smiles.
Picking out lunch at milo and Otis on Wilshire Ave.
From lunch we headed to the Getty museum where Ann met us. Beautiful art, views and garden.
Then the boys convinced me to go visit Mamie's horses at the barn in moor park where she rides and to stay the night. Parker loved getting kisses from his favorite horse, banice, and miles loved playing with the dogs and petting and giving treats to every. Single. Horse. That kid is an animal lover.
Yay for adventures! And yay for Mamie!

And especially YAY for craig for watching thing 1&2 so I could hang out with my bigs.
