(are you sick of puppy pics yet?)
{playing superheros}
Tonight we are all sleeping under the same roof. I got home from girls camp yesterday, were i was all week, and then Parker got home from Phoenix this afternoon where he has been for 7 days. Tomorrow Craig and Parker fly out to Ohio to meet up with his parents and matt's family for some events around the state on the Romney bus. I kinda wish it were miles going instead of P, since i just got him back. But it's just for a few days, so I'll survive.
I was even happy to see pancho (or panchito as miles calls him....those two.....)
Miles has been killing me all day with his quotes. Last night around 2 am he came in are room bawling hysterically and saying he'd had a scary dream. I was SO tired from girls camp-that's what happens when you stay up way too late talking about 14 year old crushes and then have to teach 7am Yoga every day-- so I just let him stay in our bed. This morning I was snuggling him in bed and i asked him what his scary dream was. He got this sad, sad face-almost tears- as he said, "dad wouldn't let me go to the park and parker did get to go." oh man. that kid. Injustice is worse than death to him.
today he asked me for some "mailing paper" because he had colored a picture for callen and needed to mail it (you know,,,the cousin that lives 3 houses down and was currently at our house.) I offered him a stamp and he said, "no mom. MAILING paper. the kind you zip with your tongue..." (he gave me a thumbs up when i handed him an envelope. I never saw what came of that project....there is probably something in our community mail box for the post man to decipher.)
These are pics of Park from the last day of school last week (see pics from his first day HERE.- he is randomly wearing the same shirt). I would say that he has matured and grown-up in the last 8 months, but he was mature and grown -up when he started. he is just such a good, easy boy. He got a ride to and from Phoenix with my friend sunshine, who happened to be going at the right time, then spent a week with my parents...attending "reading camp" that my mom teaches to 30 kids every summer. I never worried about him once. I knew he wouldn't be trouble forsunshine, I knew he'd be good in reading class and good for my parents, and I knew he wouldn't be homesick. And most of all I knew he'd have fun. When he walked in the door today he squealed as he ran inside to hug me because he was so excited. such a sweet boy.
