Mr. Social himself

Since I didn't take any pictures on his first day of preschool, I thought I'd take some today on his last day of school. Parker starting going to a little Christian preschool in January after 3 months of him asking me everyday if he could "pleeeease go to school!" and we had the best experience with the school.

On his first day, after he hugged me and ran off to play, I told his teaching just to call me anytime over the next three hours if he was sad or anxious at all and I'm come and get him early. I was pretty sure he'd be fine -being the boy that he is- but since it was his first day and all the other kids had already been there for months and knew each other, I just was a little nervous for him.

No call came and when I went to get him at the end of class, his teacher met me in the doorway, assuring me that he had been more than fine. Parker spotted me from across the classroom and I saw his little chin start to quiver. He teacher, seeing it too, started to back pedal a little, saying that he didn't seem sad once. He ran across the room, right to HIS TEACHER (who he met that day), wrapped his arms around her leg, and looked up at me and said, "Can I just stay at school a little longer?" She must think I beat him at home.

He was organizing games of tag with every kid in the class at recess on his 2nd day.

After school we headed to Laurie's for the "Last Day of School Swim Party" with 25 other kids-Nick, Chloe, & Mia and their friends (our 3rd swim party at their house in the last 4 days). P was in heaven.
