i wrote a list of the top 100 things I'm going to miss about NY and I'm going to post them 10 at a time throughout the summer. I planned to write this first post last week, but lately, i have not been feeling the love for NY. when it rains EVERY single day for 40 straight days, it's hard to think about what i love, cause all my extra energy is going into building an ark.
*disclaimer (a note to my 4 readers): while my blog is shamelessly a mommy blog, full of too many pics of my kids, i have tried not to make it a "my life is so much cooler than yours because i live in NY" blog. this 10 part series may come across as such, mostly because, let's face it, it's true.
here goes. (these are not in a special order, except the top 10. so I may miss #99 as much as #11).
100. Crunch
-my gym. a block away and free child care. sometimes i go just to shower and do my hair while my kids are being entertained.
99. our red door
thank you craig.
98. taxis
-parker hailed his first cab on his 1st birthday. if we are out walking anywhere in the city and he feels tired, he sticks his arm up and yells "taxi!", sometimes indoors. He (and I)knows those ever presence yellow cars will take you right to your door stop anytime.
97. 44 commerce st. -my dream home in the city, located in greenwich village.
96. levaine's chocolate chip & walnut cookie. the best cookie in the world.
95. reading on the bus
i was referring to me, not parker. usually if i'm on a bus, i'm going to the east side for a doctors appt. meaning i am alone and can read as I SLOWLY get to where i'm going.
94. chinese massages
93. walking, walking, then walking some more. craig said after we move that we can park at the farthest spot everywhere we go or park a few blocks away when we go out to eat, but it will definitely not be the same. I don't think my digestive tract works right anymore when dinner is not followed by a trek home.
92. dr.sassoon (my obgyn)he is 2 for 2 on perfect baby deliveries. i mean PERFECT.
91. being a minority. not everywhere. but in a lot of places or parts of the city.
i heart NY (1 of 10)
