parker started talking a ton lately (finally). It's been fun to be able to have little conversations with him all day. Today I said, "we need to put some sockies on your little feet." he thought i said stockings and looked up to where they are hanging on the wall, put his feet out and said, "stockings? ok." and said, "no, not those stockings. we have to leave those up there because Santa is going to come and put toys and CANDY in them." Looking at me then up to the wall he said, "ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.....idon'tthinkso."
it was pretty funny.
He has started to say a lot of familiar phrases, just barely out of context. For instance...
me,"parker, go put these books in your room." Him, "no thanks"
as he is walking out the door, me, "go get your jacket." Him,"i'm good"
one of my favorite phrases that is no longer as funny as it used to be is "please no". That is if he really, REALLY doesn't want whatever i'm offering him or trying to get him to do. "here is some more broccoli". him,"Pleeease no!"
Sometimes I'll ask him a question and he just says, "ummmmmmmmmmm...." for awhile, then turns and walks away. not hard questions. like "do you want juice or water?"
last one. if he wants the lights turned on, he says, "dark off". funny little man.
addendum to the above:
below are phrases overheard by dad, yet conveniently left out of the post
"stop talking mom"
"stop yelling at da da"
already doubting
